Ack, Trudi Canavan. She's one of those writers who's got good ideas that have the potential to make great books, but who just doesn't seem to have the talent for writing to pull them off. I don't dislike her books exactly, they just don't stand out for me; I find them way too easy to put down and way too hard to pick back up again. Same with Traci Harding (not sure if anyone's mentioned her elsewhere on this thread) - good ideas but not much of a flair for writing. This is just my opinion of course, plenty of people seem to love her stuff.

did not like the magitions guild. great ideas though. i agree with firefall but ive never hearn of the other one.

what has everyone got against her i found her books hard to put down which i only seldomely did
oh and roki the old kingdom books were great but i did'nt like his other books keys to the kingdom or whatever they were called

No, they were rubbish. my bro liked them and so did my mum. i also liked the forestwife trilogy but the endidng was sad.

i liked the Old Kingdom trilogy by Garth Nix, haven't read any other books by him though (i don't think i've even seen any others by him...:rolleyes: )

are you fully serious?:eek: coz that would be totally awesome, as that just happens to be my name. and the correct spelling and everything:p :eek: :D ;)
oh and also i read the Garth Nix Old Kindgom books, or at least i read the first one, loved it enough to jump on a bus and go fetch the next two....only to read a few chaps of the second book and hate it, coz it was so different. i am making my sister read it to test the rest of it out though :)
