it's a short story, the end is charming and it's quite good, though not as excellent as the other 3.

alright i will try my best please forgive me i read alot and things eventually just all jumble up...
(well first here is the summary from the authors webpage)
There are many mysteries within the wildwood. Jena and her sisters share the biggest of all, a fantastic secret that enables them to escape the confines of their everyday life in rural Transylvania. They have kept it hidden for nine long years.
When their father falls ill and must leave their forest home over the winter, Jena and her oldest sister Tati are left in charge. All goes well until a tragic accident allows their over bearing cousin Cezar to take control. The appearance of a mysterious young man in a black coat divides sister from sister, and suddenly Jena finds herself fighting to save all she holds dear. With her constant companion Gogu by her side, she must venture to realms dark and perilous in her quest to preserve, not just those she loves, but her own independence as well.
basically thats what it is its really good it ties love and sorrow and tradegy and family and magic and it gets it all in and its really hard to put down lots of suspense i really enjoyed it =] O if you do decide to read it just know that its kinda slow at the begining but i promise it will pick up!

I've jsut read EMissary, book 2 of peccherron by Fiona McIntosh.
Did I mention that there’s something about McIntosh’s stuff that just captivates me? Like, all I hear is the crappy characterisation/storyline etc of her work, and while I can see evidence of this in her books, they still have a way of holding me and making me read without stop, and leave me caring about the characters...in a way that I don’t think any author has done before, not even the greats like Tolkien, Zelazny, Leiber, Martin, Erikson etc.
Slightly weird, as I’m usually very critical of the ‘popcorn’ clichéd fantasy (biggest culprits here are Harry Potter and Eragon) that pretty much seems to be what McIntosh writes. But her trinity and her myren’s gift trilogies have both captivated me, as has Percherron.
huge recmmeendation from me here.

Ahh Nightsorrow, all you do is reccomened books and i dont have time to raed them! I agree about Harry Potter and Eragon. urgh, wheres the quality in those books? i respect Potter because its got alot of people reading ( and potter puppet pals are awesome :P !) but Eragon- BLERGH.
So ive got to pick a book to take on holiday with me and could do with some help. its between:
Children of Hurin- Tolkien
The Lies of Locke Lamora- Scott Lynch
The Blade Itself- Joe Abercrombie
Shout For The Dead-James Barclay
Or something Gemmel.
Or can someone give me a must read reccomend?
