... I like Tamora Pierce, Sherwood Smith, Victoria Hanley, J.R. Tolkien, Shannon Hale,&Kate Constable :D
OOH you've read Kate Constable? You're the only other person who seems to know who she is :D, have all three books been released over there, b/c the third just came out here....

BTW, Kate Constable wrote The Singer of all Songs trilogy, starts with 'The Singer of all Songs', then 'The Waterless Sea' and the third is 'The Tenth Power'. They're kind of aimed at younger readers i think, but they're still good :D and they are kind of Pellinor-esque.

Kate Constable is a great author! :p and I'm not sure if all the books have come out in the U.S. yet because I order the majority of my books from amazon. *shrugs*

Tamora Pierce is the author of The Lady Knight Series *Keladry*, The Lady Alanna Series, and the Trickster series. Sherwood Smith wrote the popular novel "Crown Duel". Victoria Hanley wrote "The seer and the sword", "The Healers Keep", and "Light of the oracle." And Shannon Hale is the author of the award-winning book "Goose Girl".

I think everyone here knows who Tolkien is. lol :D

lol, i just realized how utterly stupid i just sounded... lol

yes, many libraries need to update their books, and not just getting
the mother goose's newest additions... nobody likes mothergoose...
little kids like clifford the big red dog now anyways... and the majority of
library-goers are not little kids... so that leaves the old crappy books written
in the 80's with a big picture on every page of sum1 with poofy hair.

amazon is my solution to my cities problems...

Ahem ...

Other Books That I Read

Harry Potter Series (Harry rocks my socks)
The Sword of Truth Series (Richard is seriously awesome)
Ancient Future Series (Everything you want to happen, does)
The Tomorrow Series (Homer is the coolest wog ever)
The Runelord's Series (GABORN! I loff you!)
Dune Series (Leto is the best. I know everyone loffs Paul but I think Leto is better)
Sisterhood of theTravelling Pants Series (I know I'm too old for this ... but sometimes I want to re-visit high school. Uni really sucks sometimes)
Everything by Jane Austen (Mansfield Park is the best) and Charles Dickens (Great Expectations is the best) and Bryce Courtenay (Four Fires is the best) and Tim Winton (Cloudstreet is the best) and Nicholas Sparks (for when I'm in a soppy mood) and Sonia Hartnett (Thursday's Child is the best) and Meg Cabot (for when I'm in a Teeny mood ... Boy Meets Girl is good. I loff Mitch!) and I think I've done enough.
