To be fair, her recent Crowthistle Chronicles (of which Fallowblade is part of) is far more readable....Although it still sucks. :D

I'm reading Pride and Prejudice, but that's for english lit.
It bores me, moves too slowly.
I just heard about a book that sounds really good. It's called Fly by Night, and it's by Frances Hardinge.
In a fractured realm, struggling to maintain an uneasy peace after years of civil war and religious tyranny, a twelve-year-old orphan and her loyal companion, a large and homicidal goose, are about to become the unlikely heroes of a revolution. Mosca Mye has spent her life in a miserable hamlet, where her father was banished for writing inflammatory books about tolerance and freedom. Now he is dead, and Mosca is on the run, in search of a better life. With Eponymous Clent, a smooth-tongued swindler, she heads for the city of Mandelion, living by her wits among highwaymen and smugglers, dangerously insane rulers, secret agents and radical plotters. But the city is in uproar, for someone is once again printing seditious material and no one is quite what they seem. With suspicion and peril at every turn, Mosca uncovers a shocking plot to force a rule of terror on the people of the Realm, and all too soon merry mayhem leads to murder... Funny, surprising and fantastical, with an unforgettable cast of characters, "Fly By Night" contains at its heart an inspiring truth - that the power of books can change the world.
That's what it's about. (I took that off Amazon :p)

I just started a new series, and it's quite awesome - The Malazan Book of the Fallen, by Steven Erikson. The first book is titled Gardens of the Moon. It's really rather amazing, since Erikson follows the perspectives of many people during an epic war, which is ongoing, many different plots that all come together in an stunning climax. It's almost like Alison's work, but... darker, and slightly harder to read. Well worth it though!

Its completely different to the Pellinor books.
Its dark militaristic fantasy with multiple POVs that interweave to form one huge tale. Pellinor is YA standard fantasy.
No offence, but its on a whole different scale to Pellinor.

U-Borat - That's probably a better description of it, but hey, I thought more people would read it if I said "It's almost like Alison's work...":p

TWLIGHT IS THE BEST BOOK IN THE WORLD
(except for alisons books of course)
really, im reading it now. when you read it you get what i like to call "Twilight fever" (a very technical term) where you start reading and can never put the book down. and then you fall in love with edward. or at least all my friends and i did :D
the sequel is new moon and thats good too but not quite as good as twilight. the third book comes out this year, it's called eclipse. it comes out in the states first but im not sure when, somewhere during my trials which are in august.
hope that was of some help..
