Maybe this place gets the books earlier than where you live? It's a blue cover and it's definitely Spirit Walker.
I'm reading Crime and Punishment right now to see why Alison likes it, but also because it's on a list of books I should read. (Plus I picked it up cheap, so it's a good deal overall.) :p
Valley of Secrets isn't too bad. The environmental protection theme sounded more like facts and figures than part of the storyline, but otherwise, I found it intriguing. There are many mysteries involved in that book which unfold as you go along.

I want to read Eldest but it is still in hardback form which is far too expensive for me so I'll have to wait until it becomes available in my library.
What else I read
Any books by Sherryl Jordan; The Raging Quiet (I love Raven), Secret Sacrament, and The Hunting of the Last Dragon are all brilliant.
The Guardians of Time trilogy by Marianne Curley
Tales of the Otori Series by Lian Hearn
Some of the good classics; Don Quixote (this is sooo funny), Pride and Prejudice, Anne of Green Gables and the rest of the series (I used to love these when I was younger)
The Lord of the Rings trilogy (that had to be on the list)
And when I feel like having something that doesn't require much thinking there's always the teenage girl novels like the Meg Cabot or Louise Rennison or Cathy Hopkins books.
There's loads more but I'll stop now.

i donīt really read much fantasy...itīs a little weird...i just love the pellinor books, i love the whole world, and just everything, but still...
the only other fantasy author that i read the the german author Wolfgang Hohlbein...heīs great, iīm not sure if any of his books where tranlated though...they should be, theyīre awsome...
apart from that i read a lot of historic novels (do you say/write it like that?) i really liked "the girl with the pearl earing" ...another one of my favourite books is "boudicca - song for a dark queen" (iīm not sure if thatīs the english title, itīs the german one tranlated...)
and then i read a lot of dramas, mostly for school, but everytime we takl about one in class, i like it so much that i have to read at least 2 more ^^"
okay...iīm just going to stop now, because actually i read every book in reach...
