I can't go through every page to see if I'm repeating anyone or not, but here are some books I absolutely love (and they're all fantasy):
Harry Potter, by J.K. Rowling, of course.
The Abhorsen Trilogy aka The Old Kingdom Trilogy by Garth Nix (these books are an AWESOME must-read!)
A Great and Terrible Beauty and its sequel, Rebel Angels, by Libba Bray. About a 16 year old girl who discovers she has very strong powers in the Victorian era. Full of romance, mystery, and adventure.
The Chanters of Tremaris trilogy by Kate Constable. Also about a young woman who discovers she has extremely powerful powers. Lol.
All the books about Tortall by Tamora Pierce, starting off with the Song of the Lioness quartet. Full of butt-kicking heroines, woot!
His Dark Materials trilogy by Philip Pullman.
Discworld series by Terry Pratchett.
The Wind on Fire trilogy by William Nicholson (who wrote the screenplay for Gladiator!)
The Princess Bride (muuuch better than the movie, in my opinion).
The Hidden World and its prequel, The Wolves of Woden, by Alison Baird. Mixes in a lot of Celtic and Norse mythology.
That's it for now...

My Favourite Authors:
(incase you wanted to know, I know that you do by the way, everyone wants to know)
Alison Croggon (Duh!!!)
Catherine Jinks (An Aussie, writes real cool books about maths and genetics eg Evil Genius and Piggy In The Middle, and other books about different things. Some good ones about the Middle Ages)
Philip Pullman (An atheist with real cool veiws. I'm Catholic but still love "His Dark Materials" and can see where he comes from)
John Marsden (Anouther Aussie, simply rules. He writes as if he is a teenager! (must know us well) He's the author of the Tommorow Series. Everyone should know what that is)
Dan Brown (well, you know who he is)
Darren Shan (The Darren Shan series is a good read)
Eoin Colfer (author of Artemis Fowl)
Paul Collins (his book "Dragon Links" is great)
Umm, there's heaps more but I think that's enough for now.

wow, we share a lot a similar fav authors :D, BTW have you read any of Dragonlinks sequels (theres two out a the moment)
Sara Douglass, as i've said many, many a time :D, is probably my favourite author and my absolute favourite book,(for now at least, I'm much to fickle:D) is one of hers called Threshold. You have to read it, just superb. Some may say it's a little soap-oprahish, but i don't care  . It's along the same lines as most of the books mentioned here :D, a young woman discovering she has fabulous powers &c&c
