I'm looking for a good fantasy novel starring a heroine that has romance and adventure and all that good stuff. Any suggestions, guys? (Don't mention Tamora Pierce, I've read all her Tortall stuff already and love it, hehe)
I'd recommend Court Duel/Crown Duel by Sherwood Smith and definately the Old Kingdom series =) awesome awesome books

Thanks for the suggestions! The thing is... I've read all of those books already! :p They are definitely fantastic, I absolutely loved Lirael and I really really loved Crown Duel/Court Duel as well. I, too, would reccommend them to anyone else looking for the same kind of books as I am.

ah yes book 12 is very sad. but the ending to the saga is rubbish twas horrible i tell you! if i ever meet darren shan i shall hit him on the head and tell him the ending sucks and he has to re-write it.

I dissagree *~bridie~*,
Ifd I ever meet Darren O'Shaughnessy I'd tell him that his writing style is superbly engaging and that the ending of the 12th book was well written, even for his standards!
(I guess reading is a very personal experiance, but that ending was great)

Guy Gavriel Kay is awesome!!!..His books are different (in a good way)...I'd recommend the Lions Of Al-Rassan to anybody here (by Guy Gavriel kay)
