That was Bridie. And I agree. It was an amazing book! I now have a dilemma: Is Cadvan or Kvothe the best character ever?:p:rolleyes:;):D

CAD! VAN! He is wayyyyy hotter than Kvothe...
I always thought Kvothe was a bit bigheaded...he was like 'oh I'm all great woo woo look at me waaaaaaaaaaaaaah!!!!'
Well, maybe not exactly like that...:p
But Cadvan is: :o

I'm reading The Singing...for like the fifth time. It's okay if I have a box of tissues next to me.

lol you people are crazy! It is pretty good tho  so im glad you are gonna read it!

Sex is a big theme in this book though, you have to admit Icelands. How far through are you? Have you got to Skaldia?

Yes, sex is a big theme -- but I don't think it's to the point of being porn. :) And Phedre is a realistic character, not a walking talking sex doll.

Even though sometimes I just want to yell at her to STOP HAVING SEX WITH EVERY MALE (and female, in the case of Melisande) YOU MEET! I mean, she had sex with Morhban, d'Essoms, Selig, Guntar , Joscelin, and even Hyacinthe! And [I]more!

It's funny, too, that sex usually solves her problems. :D Getting to Rousse by having sex with Morhban...discovering who Childric d'Essoms was working for...Which is I suppose the point of her having sex with them.

And yeah, I'm past Skaldia by a lot. They're just leaving the Master of the Straits island and leaving Hyacinth behind.

But anyways, I like the book. So read it, people! (that is, if you're openminded about sex)

I've got Belgarath The Sorcerer also and i think that book is as funny as anything! I don't know why, but whenever he is described as flying when he turns into a bird and its always described as if he is "clawing at the air" or something, that is the bit that just sets me off.

It's probably not that funny to anyone else, but when i get the mental image of Belgarath dragging himself in the sky along the clouds, it just makes me lol everytime, lmao :D!

Have you read Polgara's book?

someone told me that polgara's book is exactly the same as belgaraths, just a different title??

its funny how he hates ducks isnt it?and Wildantor and Mandor lol XD

i also liked the bit...

'well, have they stopped screaming at each other?'
'i think so,last time i listened at the door i learned that mayasenara is very ticklish'

I've just bought Eclipse!! I'm about halfway through and so far I am LOVING it! :D:D:D

I've also got:

Superior Saturday, by Garth Nix
WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT!!

Ooh, I'm busy rereading the midnighters at the moment! Recently got a friend into them, so I'm sort of rereading them along with her (it's amazing how many random bits you can forget in the few years since reading them). Not as hard core as the Pellinor Series though, they don't even come close!
I'm a huge trudi canavan fan... anyone else read her books? I reckon her Age of the Five trilogy might just be my favourite, but the third book in the Magician Trilogy is definitely the best out of the six books by her I've read.
I've recently become another twilight addict as well! I kept hearing it mentioned on my harry potter podcast so I decided to give it a go, and I am so thankful I did!

I thought that it would be, and this is going on memory here, but it wasn't. Because she talks about the time that she was with the, um, can't remember, whatever race Yarblek is [where they buy and sell woman] and when she's with all Garion's ancestors... Belgarath's books is waaaaaaaay better, i think, but Polgara's is worth the read :)

Yeah, i like TC, too. But in the Magician Trilgoy i didn't like the 1st one because i thought it took too long to get into it, but the last one i liked the best as:

I loved Lord Akkarin. But then he had to go and die :(!

I also liked The Age of the Five series and again, the last in the series was my favourite there - Voice of the Gods, wasn't it?

Yeah, it was the Voice of the Gods, it was my favourite too...
I loved Akkarin too, I don't read the end anymore because of his death :( My friend read the books and when she was reading the second I told her Sonea got together with someone in the third... I didn't tell her who but I was really tempted to tell her it was Akkarin to see the look of surprise on her face!
And yeah, the first was kind of boring, I might not have finished it if I hadn't read on the internet that it got a lot better

I love the God um, can't remember the name, it began with a C, though:

The one who (does she sleep with him?) Auraya likes, anyway. And with Akkarin :(! I can't read that book at all, now. Sometimes i get a craving to read it, but then i just remember his death and then i think  [I]NOOO! I can't, lol :o

It's the same with Deathly Hallows. Have you read that?

Chaia do you mean? I always figured they slept together but it was never really stated I don't think... plus it's probably more complex with Gods :D I liked him but after all the Mirar stories and stuff I kind of went off him.
I was a bit upset we didn't really get to see a Mirar/Auraya get-together scene, but maybe it was for the best. They probably would have had to spend a while together until Auraya got used to the Mirar/Leiard combination, if she ever would...
And yeah, I've read deathly hallows, I pretty much just sat down and read it straight from beginning and end when I got it! I wouldn't say it was my favourite of the series though...
I felt like a few of the deaths were a bit unneccessary, like Tonks and Lupin, so that still upsets me when I read it. I normally just skip through the death parts though!

YAAAAAAAAAY!more TC fans!

i dont see why everyone is so sad about akkarins death?he was STUPID,if he had kept that TINY bit of power left, sonea would still have had more then enough to kick karikos ass,i dont like it when books get all sentimental like that ^^

anyway, ive read the first in the age of the five, and have started last of the wilds, btw i heard someone say huan was a bad guy,is that true!?
