I have to say i like the silver chair quite a lot but found it completely different to the others. I have read narnia so many times, they are amazing.
Did you know.....
1. Tolkien and C.S. Lewis were good friends and had a group of literary friends were they all commented on each others work. (Bit like forums but no internet!!)
2. The chronicles of Narnia are based on Christianity and are an analogy of the main biblical story including creation (magician's nephew), resurrection (lion, witch and the wardrobe) and the end of the world/ heaven (last battle). with Aslan representing God/Jesus.
i did infact know all of these things. quite interesting dont you think? two of the greatest authors ever were close friends.

I didn't know that bit. Perhaps good authors have a tendency to gravitate towards each other...?
I'm reading a whole bunch of miserably serious books right now. :p You probably wouldn't want to read them.

Because I think they are good (like The Bell Jar), and because I need to read them for school anyway. They're not fantasy though, and you once mentioned that you don't like anything that isn't fantasy.
