Oooh! I read The Messenger for school last week it is a very good read, a quick read but very intruiguing.

I really like Ian Irvine as an author, I think some of you guys should really check him out. He's fantasy he's written 2 awsome fantasy series then 1 really cool sci-fi trilogy.
Also Traci Harding - very funky gal, i went to one of her writing workshops she is very very amazing! I love her stuff! Fantasy crossed with history = awsome!
Jodi Picoult is also another fantabulous author though not fantasy. :)

oooo you people are nice, its true i dont usually like books that arent fantasy but i did like the da vinci code

yes, it was quite good although for some strangereason my dad (who read it first) said that it was too predictable and tedious at points. i disagreed but you have to admit, at some stages in the book it did get a bit predictable.

But they are making a film on it so that will be something to look foreward to anyhow.

I don't think angels and demons comes after the code...i think it comes before

Angel and Demons came out in paperback on July 1st 2001 and The Da Vinci code came out in Hardcover in March of 2003.

sorry if these have already been mentioned, i couldn't be bothered to read all 31 pages of this thread.... has any one read the Stravaganza series by Mary Hoffmann?(Really good with the whole alternate world that is similar to ours but with a few signifigant changes.)

Hmmm, as Christmas is coming up i'm going to get that book, i've read the back a hundred times at my local book shops but for some reason or another i never brought it. sounded great though.
