you guys should read terry goodkind's sword of truth series. the first book is called wizards first rule and it is one of the best book i have ever read. anyone who has not read HAS to read it!!! everyone i know who read it was amazed and not disappointed.

if you want a good fantasy book get wizards first rule! it has it all :D plus a good tragic love story of course!!

instead of buying the wizards first rule i bought interview with the vampire by anne rice its her first vampy book. its brilliant... *goes back to her book before she looses her page.*

Bridie..Do not get Wizards First Rule..lol..This happens to be one of the worst fantasy books I have ever read in my life..He is a terrible writer, has a horrible love story entwined in the books, and a tedious ongoing series where all the main characters are invincible..Also all his later books are about politics and nothing whatsoever happens in them..Visit the Terry Goodkind form if you want to see how much most people hate it (mods probably have deleted all the hate threads though lol)..Stick with Anne Rice over Terry Goodkind..Pretty much every fantasy reader out their who has read a decent amount of fantasy thinks his work is junk..Go to amazon and read the reviews for some of the books in the series on there..George R.R Martin is a lot better (same with Steven Erikson, Robin Hobb).
