Nope, never heard of it.
I'm getting a book from the library soon: The Sight by David Clement-Davies. My friends have highly recommended it, and I personally think it sounds very cool. :D:cool:
i have the sight. i havent realyl gotten into it yet. everytime i start to read it something i have been wanting to read for a while comes out or my friend sends me something to read. i try to get that out first before reading my own books here. i do really wanna read it though.

I just finished The Passionflower Massacre. It was better than most books I've read recently...not brilliant, but very good.
I also read Mort recently. It was really good; one of my favourites in the Discworld series. I love how Mort becomes ever-so-slightly insane by the end: when he swears at himself during that battle with Death...XD
Bloodhound was pretty good, but not as OMG I HAVE TO READ THIS NOW!!! as Terrier. It was fairly obvious who was smithing the coles, which one of their friends was implicated, etc, etc. The plotting wasn't hugely tight, and while Beka and Goodwin were still likeable characters, the new ones who were introduced weren't as interesting: Dale and Pearl were fairly two-dimensional. I also cannot understand why Tamora Pierce keeps stuffing here books with unneeded animal companions. I mean, a few are fine and interesting, but when they're EVERYWHERE it gets boring.

i've just finished reading Hang a Thousand Trees With Ribbons by Ann Rinaldi
this is from the back cover-
'kidnapped from her home in senegal in 1761, a young girl is purchased by the wealthy wheatley family of boston. phillis wheatley has an eager mind and a knack for leaning that leads her on an extraordinary path.
though great achievements and fame follow, can phillis ever totally escape the shackles of slavery?'
i'd definately recommend it to you, the timeline jumps around a bit but it's still pretty easy to follow, and really gives you an insight into phillis' mind.

I agree, but I still enjoyed the story. :)
The whole relationship with Rosto and Beka was wayyy more interesting than Dale and Beka, but Dale and Beka was meant to be kind of an exploration, I think, rather than THE couple. Because it's obvious that Rosto and Beka will get together. (or we can at least pray... haha)

My friend lent me that book and I didn't like it, I'm sure it would be a good book in other peoples eyes but it is just solely Wolves. I don't mind that in the Pellinor series though. I have just read the first book of the Night Angel Trilogy by Brent Weeks, what a book!

Lol, good plan. :)
I'm reading a book on writing right now. Just started it. Also reading Battle of the Labrythinth, book 4 in the Percy Jackson series. It's pretty good.
i think the best of the series was the final book. . the last olympian. its pretty action packed from start to finish. Also check out the Demigod Files. it was a cute short read and goes w Percy

Read the Sight
Consider it distinctly average. Theres nothing wrong with the book as such, but theres not enough there to stand out and wow you (well, me at least)
Just my £.02

Blood And Chocolate by Annette Curtis Klause
It just just became one of my favourite books of all time.
If you've seen the movie and not the book, I suggest you try and find it. They are very very different. The book's a lot better.
How they made Gabriel the bad guy in the movie . I just can't see that happening having read the book

Yeah, I have The Last Olympian on hold. Hopefully it comes in soon, though I'm not super gung ho about the series. It's a decent read and entertaining while it lasts, but it's definitely no Harry Potter or Pellinior :)
And I saw that, maybe I'll read it sometime.

Oh, cool! Too bad I'm going to miss the HP6 opening night... :(
The cast does fit what I imagine them to look like. But I read in a synopsis that it's like 16-year-old Percy, not like 12 like he's supposed to be! So I'm wondering if they're going to squash a couple books into the same movie? Or if they just made a mistake in that particular summary? I dk. I hope they stay faithful to the books... cuz if they were that old, they'd practically have to add heaps of romance between Percy and Annabeth, instead of the slow development we have in the series.
And that was kind of a spoiler... but if you weren't smart enough to figure out that Annabeth is the potential love interest by the summary on the back cover of the book, well then you're not smart enough for me to censor it for you anways... haha :p
Although, I am kind of disappointed about who they cast as Hades... partly cuz the way they described him, I thought of him as this austere, cold, and yet very sexy man-- kinda like a vampire. Not a guy with a goofy grin...
But who knows, maybe the actor will do just fine. But going off of what I pictured, I don't like it. :P
