Finished The Tale of Despereaux by Kate DiCamillo. It's aimed at older children/younger adults, I think, but it has an adorable cover and it's a really quite cute. I'm glad I bought it. ^_^

At the moment I'm reading "The Sorrows of Young Werther" by Goethe. It's one of the most beautiful books I ever read. It's about the man Werther who writes letters to his friend Wilhelm. In his letters he describes his feelings, and everything that sourounds hin so detailed that you can really feel what is going on inside of him. He falls in love with a girl, who is engaged...it's so tragic.
After the book came out many people killed themselves after reading it..."summer of suicides" ...

I never read that book, but I did hear that people not only killed themselves en mass, but dressed up like them too... Something about a buff waistcoat and breeches? does that sound familiar?
