Yeah im in year 9 and we are studying Wuthering Heights, which i find to be incredibly good. However alot of people dont take it seriously (all except about 3 girls in my class read romance novels, the trashy ones of course) and therefore dont read the book, so when it comes to discussion me and a 2 others are the only ones with something to say! its extremly annoying! The book isnt being ruined though because my teacher doesnt really go into major detail about random little things. Plus because the school i go to is about 10 mins away from Haworth(where the brontes lived) we are going on a trip ( yay six mile hike to top witherns!! woot!) which will be alot of fun. Its true though, it depends on what your teachers like, the older they get the less bothered about fun they are and tend to rant on. The younger the better i say! (sounded a bit pervy then lol!)

I've got it lucky. The other class get stopped devery 3 minutes by the teacher who has to explain everysingle word as if they're in pre-school! Yeh, they spoiled Coram Boy for me but we went to see a play of it so it was ok. i got told off for finishing the book when they were halfway through it coz i was reading ahead in class. Some people are so slow!! It was the same with Good Night Mister Tom, which i had read before and thought it was really sad. Now they just ruined the whole thing by making us analyze every paragraph! And we had to watch a movie of Taming in which the characters are mad out of...CLAY!!! And you couldn't hear anything aswell and we watched only half of it coz there was no time.

Wow! I would like to go there! It could be interesting!!

When I read Wuthering Heights I didn't like it that much. I found Heathcliffe and Cathy annoying to be honest! I couldn't understand why Cathy married that other guy and after that I just couldn't sympathise with Heathcliffe's and Cathy's actions and then after Cathy died I couldn't understand the way Heathcliffe acts or condone it so...it was mainly because I couldn't relate to the characters. :)

Don't get me started on school English! I had the worst teachers who told me I was terrible. They said I had a limited vocabulary! To the girl who never used 'said' twice in the same piece of work! (Ok, so I had no style, but I had the basics ...) Grr. Just wait until I'm published ... :D

Anyway, I don't get Wuthering Heights at all! It's a nice piece of writing, but the plot just confused me. I'm relieved I never had to do that at school; we did 'Lord of the Flies' instead, which is the sickest book to analyse. Wwe did do a nice short story called 'The Yellow Wallpaper'. Actually, it wasn't nice as such, but it was interesting.

I tried to read Lord of the Flies but got bored and skipped ahead to find that they start to worship a pig's head so stopped trying to read it!!:)

hahaha...we did lord of the flies and jane eyre in yr 9 and 10 i think...or maybe yr 8 and 9 im not sure, we also did to kill a mockingbird in yr 10. i could not get through any of those books they are all forever ruined. although im not sure id have liked any of them anyway!
the best was when we did harry potter in yr 7. so much fun, except for the gazillion questions we had to answer! hands up who hates 'study guides' which consist of 20 unanswerable questions on each chaper *sticks hand up and waves it about like hermione*

We did.....The Woman In Black...was supposed to be a horror but the only (lamely...) scary bit was at the end.......where....someone gets ran over....by a horse and carrige....

At the moment we're doing canterbury Tales....soooooo boring, not surpised seeing as though he lived in the 1300's......I was very surprised to find out me and my friends knew the most about him....well, my friends are right dimbats most of the time....

Oh, Slawter(by Darren Shan) was goood, though not as good as the other two....those books are my new addiction!!!:D

God, I would HATE to do HP in school!!!

lol i wouldn't mind having a exam on HP!! but it would probably ruin the book so..My mum was making fun of my sis saying that she should take a HP exam coz she's been reading em instead of revising. She's very creepy. I mean she's only 8 and she's read all of them!
All my english teachers say that i have problems with spelling...its annoying but its so true:o  I hate spelling things.
