Good magazine for publishing

Does anyone know what a good magazine would be for a science fiction submission?

Does anyone know what a good magazine would be for a science fiction submission?

That would depend on what type of mag you are looking for; e-zine, graphic, traditional, anthology, monthly, weekly, bi-yearly, yearly. Pro, semi-pro, for the love of. The list is endless. Then you need to find out if your story fits with what the mags are looking for. Most have a certain type of story or style the tend to go for. Best way to find out is to actually read what the mag is printing.

Sorry if that sounds a bit negative, but there is no easy way, you have to do a pile of research. Even when you have submitted there is no guarantee you will get published. You can end up spending more on submitting work than you earn when you do sell it.

I suggest you begin by going through these two sites, they list a large number of mags/publishers. BUT I would suggest once you find a mag you like, google it like mad, ask questions about it, and never pay to have your work published. E-zines especially tend to disappear over night.

And there is Duotrope, which I find very helpful because of the incredible search function.
