I read The Boat of a Million Years some years ago, great book, lately i saw on some web site that it's a part of a series called Fireball by Poul Anderson, yet i couldn't understand from reviews and descriptions of the books in that series how that series relates to Boat... it seems to have no connection? maybe just the same universe?
Anybody knows?

I don't see any connection. Boat of a Million Years stands completely by itself.
