So I'm thinking of contacting some of my paperback books later today and was wondering if there are any guides on the Internet or advice I can find here for the best method. When done properly contact can make a book last much longer without looking crappy. But I've done some shoddy contacting before in the past.

Translation: contact = see-through plastic/cellophane coated with contact adhesive.
What do the library use? Don't they just use non-sticky plastic or just contact strips on the spine and edges?
Using the more expensive brands and having three hands so you can smooth out air as you apply would probably give you an advantage.
