We have a tie for the September book -- vote for your choice from these two books. This poll will close on August 15!

Jeez! If the first poll is this intense, I can't wait for the rest.

Hmm... I was torn between picking a book that I love and already have and a book that I've never read.
In the end I chose Summer of Night because it's something new.
But has anyone read this book before? What's it like? From its Amazon description it sounds like an IT rip off :/
A monstrous, timeless entity is devouring children. Adults either refuse to understand what is happening, or are themselves agents for the monster. A group of young boys, in uneasy partnership with an outcast girl, realize they must kill the creature before it devours them all.

I haven't read it either but I just finished CARRIE for the 3rd time a week or 2 ago so I needed something new. The Simmons book may very well be a rip, but the reviews are good so we'll have to see.

I have Carrie but still haven't read it, which is why I chose Carrie. That and I'm pretty much broke right now.

I've read it, but it's been years and I don't remember much about it, so it'll be like reading it for the first time for me.
Summer of Night is my daughter's all-time favorite book. She's 40, she's read all of King's stuff, and she liked Summer better than It.
I've read pretty much all of Simmons' stuff, and liked all of it.
