Welcome, and thanks for taking a peek.

In the writers forum we sometimes have informal writing contests. This is one, dialogue only in fact. If you'd spend about 15 mins reading the submissions, it would be apprecitated. And I think you will enjoy, their is good variety in the six. Thanks again for your interest and your vote.

Submissions:
The Lesser Evil (http://www.sffworld.com/community/story/2585p0.html)
Forever King (http://sffworld.com/community/story/2595p0.html)
Full of Sound and Fury (http://sffworld.com/community/story/2583p0.html)
The Last Bar (http://sffworld.com/community/story/2582p0.html)
That's Interesting. Why Do You...? (http://sffworld.com/community/story/2593p0.html)
Missed By An Inch (http://sffworld.com/community/story/2581p0.html)

Enjoy! :)
Mr. Jims

That was really hard. It was a three way tie so I rolled some dice to finally pick one to get my vote.

Here we go again. Picking one to vote for is always the hardest part.

SPOILERS, if you don't want to know, don't read further.

We have Lesser Evil, with a demon who wants to be less evil. In Forever King, cursed headgear helps the king finally get the last word. Full of Sound and Fury, Not really full, not a lot of sound, but there is a bit of fury toward the end. The Last Bar, introducing the "cheers" entrance to the great beyond-nice twist at the end, btw. That's Interesting..., which was. Note to self, if we ever make talking computers which are smarter than we are, make sure there's an off switch. Missed by an Inch, actually a couple of metres, I think. Isn't "Pixie Fish" the name of a band? Funny.

A good batch this time. We can all be proud. In the mean time, I'll try to figure out how to vote for just one.

Hmmmm, voter turn out still pretty low.
And to think, Hobbit was kind enough to make an anouncement on our behalf across all the boards.
I'm running short of ideas, maybe we should kidnap a bunny.
Vote, or the bunny get it.
Hmmm.

Here bunny bunny.
Mr. Jims.

Hey, Voter turn out is # of participants + 2; is that a record?

Not a record, I think, but close maybe. I voted, so I was one of the +2!

I voted, just forgot to post about it. Maybe we should have a "Get out the Vote" drive. Pay off some influencial pop culture icons to be mouth pieces for us or something...

Oh, heck with it, just threaten the life of a cute, fluffy woodland creature. That'll show 'em!

Voted. That was a hard one to choose.....

How you going to kill the bunny, squash it?

We're gonna make it watch non-stop battery commercials.

Didn't know something like this existed on the forum; stumbled across it quite by chance.

But it was fun reading the submissions! I did so quickly and cast a vote without thinking about it too much (which is hopefully in the spirit of things). Whilst I liked all the snippets, there was a clear winner as far as I was concerned, so it wasn't too hard.

Hmmm, no-one else seems to have mentioned which submission they voted for or why. If I tell you, will you guys perhaps just let the bunny go? or at least give him a full dvd set of Ally MacBeal instead of those commercials? Please?
