How many books are your to-read piles? I don't mean books you intend to buy, I many how many books high is the physical pile of books?
Mine is about 5 or 6 right now, usually stays around that.

Well I've ordered loads of books, I think about 20 from Amazon.co.uk and 9 from Whsmith.co.uk. So I'll be busy over the summer. 29 books to read, and I'm reading one of them now.

I have about 5 books in my to-read pile. That seems to be the number of a lot of people's to-read piles on this board! http://www.sffworld.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

I am in the process of moving, so most of my TBRs are packed up in boxes. I did manage to buy a book I have been looking for forever last night! Lady Pain by Rebecca Bradely. It has been out in the UK for a while, but the book before it was not so good that I was willing to shell out for overseas shipping.
Anyway, my TBR pile is much, much too large. I have 57 in boxes, and it looks like I have about 14 lying around that need to be packed still. I really need to get reading.

I got only one book left in my to-read pile... Perdido Street Station.
But 12 more are on their way in the mail.

I have about ten, that actually is a constant number because I always seem to be getting more books to replace the ones I read

Eight right now, but that's unusual high for me, quite often it's even nil. I tend to reread a lot.
