This feels like a tourist shouting in his native tongue, thinking that people will understand better if he does so. ;)
It wasn't because people are stupid that they didn't rate them, and if you shout at them they'll comply. People probably didn't rate them because,
they just don' wanna. :p
They probably feel, that it was difficult enough to get to 10, without worrying about which of those is ahead of another, in order.
AND, there's an existing top ten list that is still in use:

OK? CAN YOU HEAR ME?!!! ;)

Listing it from best to worst makes it easier for comparison. It is not hard to do. Just cut and paste your list if it is not in numerical order. And I was not shouting. I put it in bold to get people attention. If I was shouting, I apologize.

Thank you for all your rating. Much appreciated.
There seem to be some confusion. This is not a top 10 list. You can list as many as you want from all the sci-fi novels that you have read out of a score of 10.

You're a fun guy, aren't you? ;) I know I'm having fun...
How about this-
rate your favorite SF novels on a value scale of 1-10 -10 being the highest score...
Think that might have worked better?

There's no confusion, I just don't have the time/desire to list any more than that, sorry. Once you get beyond ten there could be no limit to how far you'd go... Some people even enter every single bit of information on all of their books in to an on-line library database..!!!!
