Allright, I'm not trying to be sadistic or evil-minded by bringing up this subject, but I was wondering if some people here who have read more in the fantasy genre than I have so far, could tell me what different, devious, and creepy torture devices they have encountered in the fantasy novels.
The only ones I remember to have encountered is in the Memory, Sorrow, and Thorn Trilogy when the Rack is mentioned and also there is mentioned those black iron devices that Pryrates pulled the hair and skin off people with.

Something from a recent read, A Cavern of Black Ice (which you should read post haste Z16) The horrors that occur within the walls of Spire Vanis are quite harrowing. The character Penthero Iss utilizes some...well, questionable means in drawing power from the nameless one, who has been incapacited in the most grusome way, which is detailed at the begining of the book...The whole book is in fact filled with the most visceral and violent details of personal pain and tribulation! muahahahah!!!, indeed!

Well, what I was hoping is that someone could TELL me about the different torture devices, such as Kierk Soren did.

Goodkind had a army of torture devices called Mord Sith's and there weapon of choice was the Agiel,a device that when used caused mind numbing pain, just ask Richard Rahl.

Yes Mistress Denna
Thankyou Mistress Denna
Please stick that Agiel in my ear again Mistress Denna.

Now I've never seen the movie or read the fantasy novel "The Princess Bride" but I hear that in it there is this devious torture device simply called "The Machine". It sounds like a lame name for a torture device, I know, but what this thing did was it caused the victim horrible excruciating pain as it slowly sucked the life force out if him/her, and the truly harrowing fact about this is, the unbearable, excruciating pain is merely the start of it because it has only started on setting one, and there are ten settings on this diabolical thing!!
This device was created by an extremely tyrannic, sadistic baron in "The Princess Bride", I think, and I have my own theory in which I think it is maybe possible that "The Machine" could be also used as a magical/supernatural superweapon by combining all the life forces sucked out of victims together and thus creating a giant, destructive being of pure supernateral energy!
