Seems the production company that own the rights to the Famous Five are re-lauching the property as a kids animated series and as a live action "adult" version featuring the original cast, but all grown up.

I think, if handled well, this could be a great idea. I'd like to see it being a bit like a Jonathan Creek style show. Dark in parts, filled with plot twists and turns but with some light humour.

The Famous Five? Grown up? Is that the four kids and a dog that solve mysteries? Sure the kids would be older, but the dog (Timmy?) can't still be around surely, then it's really just the Famous Four...

Scarily enough, that was my first thought when I read the news report!


The Famous Five? Grown up? Is that the four kids and a dog that solve mysteries? Sure the kids would be older, but the dog (Timmy?) can't still be around surely, then it's really just the Famous Four...

The 'kids' are supposed to be in their 40s at the time the series starts and it is a decsendant of timmy the dog.
