Help me! You guys are my last hope!
Hey, I've been trawling these forums for a while and you all seem like such a nice bunch of people. I bought A Song Of Ice and Fire from your reccomendations and am enjoying it thoroughly.
Heres my dilemna! I can remember quite clearly two books from my childhood that I adored. Mum has since thrown them out. If you guys could help me with either one just from the description... (bit of a long shot hey).
Book 1: Two kids travelled back in time to when dinosaurs were alive. They slid down a mud slide thing on a leaf and found some old type of dinosaur that could speak... and it had fur. They then travelled forward through time (somehow) and found that their new friendly dinosaur travelled with them. They then struggled to get him back. He had a really strange name... Might've been the book title. And it was definately a kids story.
Book 2: Even more obscure. These little balls of blubber lived at the garbage tip and were tormented by these bigger... things. The little things could form shapes. Each chapter was another misadventure with the big bad guys, one was where they stuffed one of the little dudes into a can and he couldn't get out.... and there were drawings. It was awesome.
