Hey all, just found a bargain Robert Jordan book at my local bookstore and couldn't resist buying it, especially with the sad news of his recent death.

I have always planned on reading his Wheel of Time series and this find has hopefully speeded up that event.

The problem I have is that I am unsure where would be the best place to start, the book that I have bought is called[B]New Spring The Novel, The Wheel of Time~In The Beginning~[B]

Do I need to read any previous Wheel of Time books first or can I plow straight ahead with this one?

If I do need a particular order then I would be grateful if someone could list it for me. Thanks for any help.

New Spring is a prequel, that is, a story set before the other books but which only works properly once you've read the rest of the series. It's not a good place to start as it spoils a fair bit from later in the series.

The best place to start is with The Eye of the World, Book 1 of The Wheel of Time itself.
