I've looked in about six bookstores in and around my town and none of them have Perdido street station or king rat. What the hells going on??

Because those bookstores suck, frankly. I know, I hate it when I can't find a relatively well known author.

You might have to go to a big chain like Barnes & Noble or Borders, or order online.

I guess I'll have to order from Amazon. I've been to barnes and noble and borders and they didnt have them either.

I ended up getting my copy from the SciFi Book Club. They had it for $10 hardback including S&H. I resorted to ordering it from them because I too, couldn't find it in the bookstores. Of course, while I was waiting for my order to come in, they finally stocked one copy in my local Borders. I'm about a quarter of the way through PSS now and am enjoying it immensely.
