I have heard rumours of there being a dragonball z movie with real actors. Does anybody know who is in it or when it is likely to be realeased?

Just had a look over at imdb. Looks like it's more than a rumour. Check the page out here (http://imdb.com/title/tt1098327/). ;)

They've been saying this since I was a fan of the show which (no offense to any fans here) was about 5 or 6 years ago. But, who knows, the special effects are good enough.

There's already a live-action DB movie. Take a look for yourself. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dragon_Ball:_The_Magic_Begins

I remember seeing it in a rental store in Italy along with all the kung fu flicks.

Are you implying something about the quality of kung fu movies pal?

I try not be evasive. My general principle is that I say what I mean and mean what I say. As I said nothing about the quality of kung fu flicks, any implications you find are entirely in your head, J.

The Dragon Ball rip-off I linked to is a low-rent Chinese martial arts film. Where else would it be? Where would you put it?

Nah, it's legitimate.

$100,000,000 budget, produced by 20th Century Fox, currently filming in Mexico, fight choreographer who worked on 300, and a bunch of relatively unknown actors playing the roles.

I have seen photographs of the set--this news and the images have been all over the internet, depending on what websites you browse. It's probably be cheesy as hell, but I'll be watching it anyways.

It just got delayed to April 2009, instead of this August.
