Hope the mods don't mind me doing this, but the old thread was a couple years old and had over 300 posts so I thought we could start a new one. The old thread can be found here (http://www.sffworld.com/forums/showthread.php?t=13435).
Anyway, I just found Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? by Philip K. Dick at my local Cancer Research UK for £2. I'd been meaning to buy it for some time, especially ever since watching Blade Runner for the first time a few years ago. Also have enjoyed a number of Dick's other books. :D

No problem, Mike. Be interested to read what you think about Androids. I remember first time reading it, thinking it would be like the film and was very disappointed as they are very different animals (or is that replicants?)
However if you can read it without thinking of the film it's pretty good. A reread years later was better.

A trip to the used book store yielded a couple of great SF finds: Gateway by Fredrick Pohl and Day of the Triffids by John Wyndham.
Yeah!

I picked up Consider Phlebas[/B by Iain M. Banks today. This is one of his previous realeases that are just now getting reprinted in the US again. The store also had [B]Player of Games but as I am financially strapped, I had to pass for now.

Traded in a couple of books for The Wreck of the River of Stars. If it's half as good as the title I'll be pleased. :)

Yesterday I sold back some books to the used book store, then turned around and made a couple purchases, I now own The Forever War by Joe Hadleman and Rainbow's End by Vernor Vinge

I managed to get Morgan's Altered Carbon and both sequels. Also got A few Niven books and Stephenson's Quicksilver. All for 15 bucks.
Yard sale season!
