Just received it today from Amazon Uk, will have to let you know in a few days. I have liked all of his so far though, so I doubt I will be disappointed.

I just finished it last night. I really thought it was classic Feist. Well written, well plotted, and brought that Conclave story to a close in an orderly and reasonable fashion. I know some people have said that his later stories do not match the first in quality, but I really have enjoyed each and every one of his books. I read each one when it was published. Another great book to add to his ever growing list of literary masterpieces.

Just finished it a few minutes ago and I thought it was a great book. I didn't enjoy the first two books of the Darkwar but I thought Wrath Of A Mad God was one of Feist's best work. The book was well written with a strong action filled beginning and good ending along with several past unanswered question's answered.

I thought it started a liitle slow... but the latter parts are absolutely stunning. A genius at work... any word on what his plans are for the next book?

I haven't picked this up yet, and may wait until it's released in paperback, got too many other things to read at the moment.
The 'Conclave of Shadows' and 'Darkwar' storylines turned out to be stronger than I expected, I'm curious to see what happens when the fight explodes on Midkemian soil.
Personally I think Feist probably is a bit of a hack, but at least he's a good one. While in recent years there has been a slightly workmanlike or by-the-numbers feel to his output, he's still capable of writing some compelling fantasy.

I think there are two more sagas to be written for the whole Riftwar Cycle called The Demonwar and Chaoswar.

I though Wrath of a Mad God was ok. The storie was a little dissapointing after the first two of the series; but the discrepencies were extremely dissapointing. To start with; apparently Erik didnt get married (which he did - to Kitty), secondly - i thought the Minwinabi were extinct and the office of Warlord no more, and thirdly, who was proof reading his work. There are that many spelling and grammatical errors, to make the work seem like a 2nd or third draft. Overall a 6/10

Your entitled to your opinion, but the minor grammatical errors seem to be nitpicking to me... what matters is a story that keeps you reading and hanging on to the very end.... Feist has acheived this in my opinion.

Pug of Crydee - you are clearly able to accept paying the price they now charge for these books, and except errors. I am not. It is more than the grammatical errors as well. I wiill repeat what i said in my previous post, since you obviously didnt read it, or is it Feist's earlier work you havent read. In Wrath of a Mad God, Feist says Eric never Wed; Eric did wed. in Wrath of a Mad God, Feist says the inwinabi are vassals to the Acoma; The Minwinabi were destroyed boy the Acoma (in case you actually cant read - that means they no longer exist); This goes for the office of Warlord as well, which feist killed off at almost the same time as the Minwinabi.
Now if you are willing to accept paying good money for a book, and have the Author cheat you like Feist has, then good for you. I am not.
