It's been out for a nearly a month now and no one has posted anytink about it and as it was one of the most anticipated books I find that a bit strange. I myself did start it but stopped about 30 pages into it as I could hardly remember a damn thing about the first book and so just couldnt get into it.

So is it good or a let down??

I'll be brief, (I have a hard time articulating myself usually and end up confusing everyone else) it was a minor let down after Cavern. I mean, it wasn't a bad book, not at all, but I think (and if I remember correctly) Cavern was better. Fortress lacked some really exciting parts (there were some, but I don't think there were as many as in Cavern). Anyways, I don't actually regret the purchase.

Caldazar, wasn't there a Cavern summary at the start of the book?

I only read the first chapters but it's great imo http://www.sffworld.com/ubb/smile.gif Just what I desired so far.I've had it for a while but kept it as something "special". I don't want to make the same mistake and devour it like I did with GRRM's SoS.

I am back

My baby boy took up all my attention and therefore haven´t read a lot lately

The very last book before he was born was the cavern.

I really don´t understand why people here go onabout this book. I found it quite stale, quite unchalleging and not really in one line with the great Fantasy.

I ll still give the second one a go, as I just hope that the story might pick up some speed

erm... right... ahem...

I am not too far into it yet, but it is good so far. I do admit to being a Jones fanatic, so maybe I am biased... she is a bit of a stunning looking gal after all!!!

Born about 30 miles rom from where I live... how did I ever miss her!! :(
