I just finished reading 'Lord Foul's Bane' and I have mixed feelings about the book. The part before they start with their quest (to find the staff) I found a bit dull. I liked the quest.Now my question is, how is the second book of the series? Is it like the first part of the first book or is it like the second.

The pace will pick a lot... be sure of that. It has one of the best running battle scenes I have ever read. I will admit book 3 is a tad slow, but I was hooked by this time... and just had to finish..., when I say slow... I do not mean bad... all three books are just so awsome taken together.
The 'Second Chronicles' are even better.

The story does get better. You just have to try and tolerate the endless "Leper, Outcast, Unclean". :P
