Hi guys, i just recently discovered the Shannara Series of books by Terry Brooks. I havent purchased one yet because im having a hard time trying to figure out what order they go in. Do i start with the Shannara series or the Heritage of Shannara series? Thanks guys!

Read these three books first,

Sword of Shannara
Elfstones Of Shannara
Wishsong of Shannara

Then comes the Heritage Series

The Scions of Shannara
The Druid of Shannara
The Elf Queen of Shannara
The Talismans of Shannara

and then there is the First King of Shannara which is a prequel to the first Shannara series. This came out after the series so, you can either read it first or after(as most people did).

If you like that series then you might want to try his other series, The Magic Kingdom of Landover series. The first book is

Magic Kingdom For Sale-Sold!
then comes
The Black Unicorn
Wizard At Large
The Tangle Box
and
Witches Brew

hope I helped, if you have any other questions all you need to do is ask.

If you are recommending other series by Books I would recommend The Demon Series before recommending Magic Kingdom. I liked Magic Kingdom, but not as much as Brook's other stuff. After reading the Shannara stuff I would read the Demon Trilogy which include

Running with the Demon
A Knight of the Word
Angel's Fire East

I love the shannara stuff the most.

I have read the first three books! Allanon gave them to me! He's a nice author! Not as good as Jordan and Feist, but nice author! Nice story similiar to "tLotR", but I think that he's even better than Tolkien!
The boring is one thing:
ploting one story ine each book! And again, and again, and again, and again...

Oh, and Arith it isn't obligatory to read "LotR"! You can pass without it!

The whole series is relly good. It took me a while to get through them, but it was worth it.
You can download the Isle witch and Antrax with Pepsi stuff points. They are E-Books, but free for enough points.... I also really liked the Adobe EBook reader. The bookmark feature is really cool.
