I am trying to find a book series I read about 30 years ago the best memory is one of the covers its of a leash eating plant on a hilltop the team in the books if I remember correctly were cyborgs of one type or another I do remember on of the women on the team having artificial legs and they were planet explorers I now this is not much to go on it must be my age I cant remember anything else so I thought I would ask

That sounds like "The Expendables" by Richard Avery. AKA Edmund Cooper.

Bl00dy excellent books, I found them when I was about 11 and have re-read them time and again.

"All fools' day" is a great Edmund Cooper book.
