Hi Guys! I know this needs to be on the recommendations forum but couldn't seem to find the home page for it ( kinda new to forum posting etc)

if anyone wants to post the link to it please do:cool:

But anyway I realized i have this narrow field when it comes to enjoying fantasy/fiction/scifi books. I kinda like a mixture of fantasy/romance/with a tiny dash of scifi thrown in. So if someone doesn't mind reading this I'd really love to put up a list of my fav books/authors and get some feed back on books anyone has read that are simliar? And dont judge me too harshly for liking a ton of YA fantasy. So here it goes:

The Witches of Eileanan by Kate Forsyth

Rhiannons Ride by Kate Forsyth

Deerskin by Robin mckinley

The Blue Sword by Robin Mckinley

Prospero's Children by Jane Siegel (all three books in the series)

The Twilight Saga by Stephanie Meyer

The Sword of Shanara by Terry Brooks (and the rest of the books)

The Mists of Avalon by Marion Zimmer Bradley (but took me too long to get through)

Daughter of the Forest by Juliet Marillier

The Forgotten Beast of Eld by Patricia Mckillip

The Abhorson Trilogy by Garth Nix

His Dark Materials Trilogy by Phillip Pullman

Artemis Fowl by Eoin Colfer

Archangel by Sharon Shinn

Summers at Castle Auburn by Sharon Shinn

Eragon and Eldest by Christopher Paolini

Sunshine by Robin Mckinley

The thirteenth House Novels by Sharon SHinn

Inkheart Trilogy by Cornelia Funk

The Song of Albion by ??? (anybody remember the authors name)

As a teen i loved LJ Smith and Patricia C. Wrede but cant read em anymore:(

So anyway i know i like a more watered down version of romantic fantasy but i do ocassionally love something with more substance its just i really get into my reading so anything to juicy and long takes me a while to recover from which then makes going to work HARD. but just looking for some recommendations. Stand alone books would be preferred as getting into long sagas is too much for me.

Thanks for the help everyone:D

i love forums:p

We've got a nice handful of "What should I read next?" threads floating right around the top of this forum on this first page, or if not specifically titled that, threads that really do act as recommendation threads:
The Recommendation Thread (http://www.sffworld.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8580) - This is the big catch-all thread stickied up top

How do you choose what you read? (http://www.sffworld.com/forums/showthread.php?t=20339)
Looking for specific recommendations (http://www.sffworld.com/forums/showthread.php?t=20339)
What you are reading and why? (http://www.sffworld.com/forums/showthread.php?t=20476)
What should I read?/new to this/Looking for book recommendations/finished Butcher (http://www.sffworld.com/forums/showthread.php?t=20464)

Since you enjoy (as I do) YA Fantasy, check out these threads:
YA Fantasy – Not just for kids (http://www.sffworld.com/forums/showthread.php?t=5410)
YA fantasy; which ones are the best (http://www.sffworld.com/forums/showthread.php?t=18970)

That's a pretty broad set of books you've enjoyed so maybe just poke around the forum here for a bit and you should find plenty to read.

Since this topic is pretty redundant, I'm closing it.
