help finding a book

hello,

i started reading a book when i was in junior high school and i have forgotten the title and i am hoping someone here can help. it was about man going to mars and he was changing his body so he could live there without a space suit. there isnt too much else i recall as i didnt make it too far into the book.

any ideas?

Man Plus by Frederik Pohl, I thought it was a pretty good book when I read it a couple of years ago.
