Good topic! LotR is almost a once a year thing for me. And I usually have a copy of one of GRRM's ASoIaF books on hand - I find they hold up remarkably well to re-reads. I'm always picking up little details that I missed before.

I've never in my adult life actually read a book twice. I've flipped through parts of books a second or third time, but usually it was to obtain information I needed. There are too many books that need to be read to warrant reading a book a second time. Until I've finished off all the books in my library, I'll refrain from rereading material.

LoTR - 6 times and counting
Dune saga - 4 times and counting
Earthsea books - 3 times
Chronicles of Thomas Covenant 1 & 2 - 3 times
I find I pick up a little something extra every time I re-read these books, probably as I mature I notice different elements.

Zelazny's Amber novels. The Corwin Chronicals are excelent, I usualy will contiue with the Merlin series. Merlin's aren't as good, and the story gets a little borring, but I love Random as king.
But most of my non-novel reading time is taken up with these damn online forums, and car magazines. That and my few feeble attempts at authoring...

I'm in the same boat as Qin. I have yet to re-read a book. Way too much that I haven't read yet for me to even consider looking back.

I used to re-read many books on an annual basis, but since I've been frequenting this board, I find I don't have time. There's so much out there that I have yet to read! So, all my favorites are just going to have to wait.
What I have done in some cases is to get my favs on audiobook and listen to them during my commute. It's a good way to relax in traffic, and listening to a book is a totally different experience than reading it. I can't skim over stuff, so I get the author's full intent.
The books that I have re-read are:
The Death Gate Cycle by Weis and Hickman (4 times)
The Hobbit and LOTR (3 times)
The Belgariad and the Mallorean (2 times)
Harry Potter books (2 times)
The above are books that I love so much that I want to get back into them again and again (though my fanaticism for Eddings has waned). Many other books I have to re-read because a new book has come out in a series, and I've totally forgotten what happened in the earlier books. This happens way too much to me.. and I'm still in my 20's!!

Well ya'll are just too young! There will be days, weeks even, that the only good things you have to read are on your shelves.
Re-reads:
Lord of the Rings - multiple - Tolkien
Dragonflight, Dragonquest, The White Dragon, Harper Hall series - multiple (especially still in high school) - MacCaffery
Neutron Star, Ringworld, Ringworld Engineers - Niven
2001, Childhood's End - Clarke
Robot series and short stories - Asimov
Windhaven - GRRM
Zelazny short stories and novellas
Hmm I know there's more, but that's the starter list.
