Anybody here doing nanowrimo this year? It's my first, if you're taking part, add me as a Buddy, spiralguru3d.

50,000 words in one calendar month, draft a novel, with plenty of support and encouragment from the main website/forums/podcast/write-ins/meets etc.

I didn't know about this. It looks interesting... but I don't really believe in quantity over quality. The way I believe you can get better at writing is with lots of thought, planning, editing and editing...and editing.. oh, and editing..
Of course, you need to write a lot, too ;) , but writing 'mindlessly' just to get 50k words ... I don't see the point. Personally, I have no trouble writing a lengthy work or coming up with ideas, so why stress myself to do a bad job at it in one month
Anyway, interesting, but not for me!

Nano's fun, I'm up for it again this year. Now I've just got to kick the England Elsewhere's into action so we can kick Cambridge butt in the regional wordwar... :D Not that it's at all competitive... ;)

Have added you as a buddy - I'm queenofeverything if you want to add me.

I am doing this for the third time this year. Don't know if I have a prayer of making 50,000 words with everything else I have going on, but I am mostly using it to get myself refocused. I am ready to start writing book two of my series (finishing the initial edit on book one now).

My username is Neyska.

Good luck!!
