I was just wondering how often do you read? And how fast? I read about 3-5 hours a day around 30-40 pages an hour.

I'm a slowish reader but read 4 or 5 books at once....

I read whenever I can. It also depends on how busy I am. Right now, I'm working full time, dealing with buying a home, and going to school at night. Thus, my schedule is pretty full. Just started a book this weekend after not having read for pleasure in a couple of months http://www.sffworld.com/ubb/frown.gif (aside from my weekly dose of comics, of course http://www.sffworld.com/ubb/smile.gif )

As for speed, I average about 50 pages an hour in a paperback...maybe 60 when it gets really exciting.

I have trouble reading anything that requires much thought when I'm tired, as such, I'm not doing as much reading as I'd like. Since I'm finishing up my second year at college right now, I have to focus a bit more intensely on getting school reading done for finals and various small projects due at the semester's end.

My reading speed is absolutely atrocious - or wonderful, depending on your viewpoint - since I can only read about 35 pages per hour, depending on the text. Also, I tend to draw out the length of time it takes to read a novel if I'm greatly enjoying it, as is the case with all things Guy Gavriel Kay.

I read daily, but depending on my free time, to varrying degrees. There are a few days from time to time when I have little to do, and I'll read for as many as eight hours. This is rare though. Usually it's for no more than two hours, sometime between dinner and sleep.

I read EVERY night before I go to bed, until my eyelids get heavy. Typically for about an hour. I can't sleep unless I do.

Crazy Reader - how do you find the time to read up to 5 hours a DAY? Thats impressive!

One, sometimes two or three hours a day.
About 50-60 pages per hour in my language( Bulgarian) and about 30-40 in English.

Not as often as I would like. When you like to read and write, there's the problem of how to divide your free time.
