I thought it is time to start another discussion about books we are reading now or just recently read.
What do you think?

Here is what I've recently read

T.Powers "Anubis Gates" 2nd read
T.Powers "Last Call" 2nd read
S.King/P.Straub "Black House"

Currently I am reading:

C.DeLint "Onion Girl" - kinda boring so far

Reading plans:

I am planning to reread both S.Erikson books before "Memories of Ice" comes out

Ok, ok, I just know I'm gonna get pilloried for this, but I'm currently reading...

*drumroll*

... Lord of the Rings!! For the third time, I think. Currently in the middle of 'The Two Towers' and have just finished 'The Fellowship of the Ring'. I tried to resist, truly I did, but the Ring, its call was too strong for my feeble will to fight... my preciousssss...

Oh, and the upcoming film might have something to do with it too. http://www.sffworld.com/ubb/wink.gif

I'm reading I AM LEGEND by Richard Matheson. I don't quite know what to make of it yet... but at least the premise is interesting.

Well at the moment I am reading two books.

That only happens when I canŽt get into books. I keep swaping , hoping that one will eventually apeal to me. However I have nearly finished both , and basically it was a waste of time.

The Trigger by Clarke.
The basic idea of the book is , "what would happen , when scientist discover means to inmobilize all amnution on this planet. Would we end up have wars with axes and swords again?".

Unfortunaltey the book never takes of. Clarke loses himself in political antagonism without giving the story a real edge.

Winters Heart by Jordan.
So many things have been said on this forum , that IŽll keep it short. Definatley the last Jordan book I will ever read.

I'm just finishing Mark Anthony's 'The Dark Remains' - enjoyed this series so far. And next up is RA Salvatore's 'The Dark Elf' trilogy. I've never read anything by this guy before, so I'm loking forward to it.

Currently reading

Something by Gene Wolf (Claw of the Conciliator??) which is a major struggle as I cannot stand his writing style. It's to slow for my liking. But I will endeavour to finish it all as I bought all 4 books in 1 large mistake http://www.sffworld.com/ubb/frown.gif

Tad Williams Otherland Sea of Silver light. I found the start very slow and its taken me a long time to get back into it again. But things are really swinging now so I'll finish it V.quickly. But i still think a 3 book series would have been better.

Finished LotR at last. Not to keen on the whole thing but still looking forward to the film.

Waiting to get hold of the Harry Potter books.
