I haven't seen it, but I can say, being a die hard Star Wars fan growing up, I'm a little disappointed that they'd have an animated series. I always loved how SERIOUS Star Wars was compared to other titles in it's area. Trek was always too goofy for me, and shows like Lost in Space etc were just a novelty. Star Wars defined my childhood haha I had some pretty crazy "how stuff works in the star wars world" books with detailed engineering graphics on the weapons, vehicles. I was totally immersed.

A cartoon? Sheesh, that'd be like making a cartoon Jurassic Park and expecting people to think it's in the same vein.

Jar Jar Binks and Ewoks are "serious"?

I have seen 6 episodes from the new series and since I've been thirsting for more Star Wars after Karen Traviss's Clone Trooper books the show actually works. Sure it's for the younger audiences perhaps but I guess we are used to that by now.
