Okay so I'm new to these forums and I thought I'd ask about recomendations for a Vampire novel with a touch of romance to it. I'm not looking for a full fledged romance on the border of pornographic type thing but I like a bit of it in a novel. I've read a few vampire novels as a kid and absolutly loved it and I'm trying to find something that will be a good read but it's a difficult process. I know with the movies comming out that "Twilight" is something allong those lines and I'm wondering if anyone can give me a rundown on the Twilight series, are they any good? I kinda want to read the books before I see the movies so I've got time lol.
Any suggestions out there? I like a little bit of mistery to my novels with a little action of some kind and a few matters of the heart but not a mushy book. I would love to hear some of this forums suggestions.
Thanks

I've only read parts of Twilight, but I thought it was terribly written.
And don't worry, I'm a pretty slow reader, mainly because I have no time whatsoever. I find that as long as I'm consistent, things get read...if that makes sense at all.

Thanks seak!
Yeah without school and other crap going on I could probably read faster. Still from a young age I was slow because I tried to get every word and let the book live in my mind so it's not a bad thing really because I almost get a movie in my head going.
Thanks for the welcome, I hope to get more reading it between working security and the easy classes I have going I should get more done. I'm really just digging in and forcing myself to read more for enjoyment.

I'm the exact same way. Maybe it's because I'm ocd, but I really just have to read every word and experience every part of the writing to really enjoy it. That definitely slows the pace down.

Joe Pitt is utterly devoted to his girlfriend in a non-mushy way.

No way?!?!? I'm OCD among a slew of alphabet soup of labels slapped on me as a child! I find it to be benificial in some ways and really just a pain in the a** in others.
I just have to keep truckin as I always say and plough through a book because if I don't I get all messed up in like 40 books at once! God help me if I go to the library, I'm destined to come home with a few I want to read....I just have to force myself to stay with one book at a time. Right now I'm reading 'Rogue Angel-Renaissance' by Alex Archer. I hope to finish it before christmas, my parents grilled me for what I wanted for christmas so I told them Twilight by Stephanie Meyer so I'm kinda sure that's what I'll end up with if they can find a copy, but then they dropped hints that they have the box set....really bad liars! So I hope to be done rogue angel so that I can start those.

I'm reading Twilight at the moment; about two thirds through, and as long as you're not looking for something particularly deep or brutal, then it might be just what you want.
I can see why some might like the series, like Harry Potter. No pretentions, page-turner. :)

Note looking for any brutality or anything, I'm not into deep stuff so I think I'm going to ordering straight from Stephanie Meyer's website, I find it allot better to go straight to the source so they get all the profits.
Thanks Hobbit!
