I have read Heroes Die but not Blades of Tyshalle because its been out of print for so long. I am really looking forward to read another Caine novel. Do I need to read Blades before Caine Black Knife? Will I be missing some of the plot if I don't?

While you'll miss a few passing references here and there, Stover structured his tale where you don't need to be familiar with the first two novels to enjoy CBK.
