Sorry im new here, but where have the author specific threads gone? I cant seem to find them...

You mean the author specific forums? They got rid of them. One big happy forum now, or it would be if they ever combined the SF one with this one too.

The SF forum members in the majority would prefer to have a separate playground. The author specific forums were all fantasy authors and for a variety of reasons, they have been merged with the main forum on a temporary basis to see how that goes. You can find threads about your favorite authors here, and in the archives or start one.

You can now use the "tag search function (http://www.sffworld.com/forums/tags.php)" to search for authors. Obviously, only authors who have been tagged will come up. Otherwise, you will just need to search the old fashioned way.

In my humble opinion the way it was before - general fantasy, and author specific forums - was far more convinient.

However, we'll see how this new system goes. it might turn out to be even better!
