Ummm....that would have to be Irc. I mean, it means bird. Can you get more interesting than that?:D

My first name means bright shining one. I looked up my surname under the house of names, but my last name doesn't have a motto. :(

Neh. I think the one with the most intresting wold be Hem's first one Cai. I dunno why but I think it's cool.

My Name means One from Coal town or Black sheep, I've had it either way.

I have no idea what my first name means, every time I try to look it up, I get nothing and then they try to give me a different name to go by.

My surname doesn't have a motto, but my mother's maiden name has one, it's "Faithful Unto Death."

I don't know about anyone else but i always find Maeraed confuses me - not due to its spelling as its pronounced 'myrad' but due to the similarity to the mairead which is common enough name here! i always think of her name as Mairead (Mah - raid pronounciation; ) or when she uses an alias with the pinali (The Irish word mara means "sea")..

I wonder how allison came up with the names of her characters?

i know Cadvan pretty rare with only Cadvan of combria, who was prince of wales back in ancient times (google reserach purely so not reliable at all)

that so cool and i dont have a "min" because they are all interesting but i personally like my name because it means pure in danish but i also love my nickname "emmet"(yes from twilight)because it means ant and i am very tiny so it describes me.

if you could name one of children after one of these names which name would you giv them? boy? girl? alien?

Well I think I would call my daughter Ardina, and my son Cai(but, instead of sounding like KAY; it would rhyme with SKY) does that sorta make sense?? Oh yeah and my alien I would name Ilion after Maerad's star. :D

At any rate, my first name means 'lunar':D and my surname means "one who was well-bred, courteous and polite with elegant manners."

>.< Awwwww... that makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside :D
