A long time ago, we're talking ten years or so, I read a fantasy trilogy that I'm looking for again.
Does anyone know based on these details? I cannot remember the exact plot, but it involved an evil magician who turned a prostitute into a revenant to hunt down the main party (some guy on a mission of some sort).
I know that's terribly vague, but it's all that I remember ;)

That actually sounds familiar, but I can't remember it either. Was the prostitute still aware of who she was and not happy with what she had been asked to do?

Oliver Johnson's Lightbringer Trilogy?
I seem to vaguely recall something like that from the first volume, The Forging of the Shadows but it's a long shot. In any case, I thought it was one of the worst fantasy books I've ever read...

Could it be Horrors of the Dancing Gods by Jack L Chalker? I think that was part of a trilogy.

Sounds like Angus Wells Godwars triology.

If the trilogy isphemer is looking for is the one I vaguely recalled in my above post, then I bet that is it, since I have read the Godwars trilogy. I think I still have the books, so I may have to do some digging. I'm as curious about this as the OP now.
