If you could choose a fantasy religion what would it be?
For me Perhaps The Gemmilesque "Source".

yes, i agree, especially if i got to be a member of the thirty, i like their attitude, go out in a blaze of glory for a good cause as it were. That said it might be nice to have a religion that could provide more direct spirituality. I'm thinking althalus here, getting it on with a god has got to be some religious experience.

In Britain now you can actually be a Jedi Knight. On the latest census so many people claimed that they were Jedis that the Government has given it an official coding.

That was just a junk email going around that the papers picked up on. Any one filling in Jedi on the census was breaking the law.

Now there's an interesting question if I've ever heard one! I don't think I've ever given this question much thought.
Hm. What religion, if any, would I choose? I'd probably have to answer "none." I've never found any religion to be very fulfulling, so a fantasy religion, as quaint as it may sound or be, would be no more useful in my life.

"Any one filling in Jedi on the census was breaking the law."
How do you figure that?

I don't figure that, the government figured that. It had to do with registered religions and filling out the census form truthfully. While a lot of people probably think it is funny to fill out Jedi as their religion, it is not actually their religion. Therefore, by putting Jedi instead of your actual religion you are supplying incorrect information for the census, which is breaking the law.

Actually, I had a look at it, and actually that was the only question which you could fill in, leave blank, or just lie, and not break the law. It was optional.
I considered putting that down, but didn't bother in the end.

I'm not sure optional equates with "just lie"

George Martin's Old gods in the weirwood are pretty funky. Mostly in the real world I like Taoism, so anything with a laid-back approach like that would be appealing, although no fantasy religion of this sort springs to mind. Nakor in Feist has a pretty neat outlook on things.
