so legends II as you refer to it and not the "II" of the legends one that was split into three in the usa and into two in england and into fifty god knows where else... is out now.. or not?

Duck,

This is Legends II, the book this thread reviews:

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0345456440/qid=1101325801/sr=1-1/ref=sr_1_1/102-8871667-5841737?v=glance&s=books

As you'll note, it's a big book, because it contains all stories.

Legends I was also such a big book, but since that is no longer available in a hardcover version (though I have seen many secondhand), it has been split up into three smaller volumes, confusingly called I, II and III.

Here's no.1, containing tales of King, Silverberg, Card and Feist:

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0812566637/qid=1101325784/sr=1-8/ref=sr_1_8/102-8871667-5841737?v=glance&s=books

Here's no II, containing Martin, McCaffrey and Goodkind

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0812575237/ref=lpr_g_1/102-8871667-5841737?v=glance&s=books

No., III, containing the other contributors to the original Legends, those being Williams, Jordan, Pratchett and Le Guin:

OKAY so i actually have the actual LEGENDS II

not the "legends II" of the split of the hardback of legends I

but actually legends II.

and the legends III i referred to earlier was like you said fitz ... the third part of the first legends.

i am sorry i havent been living in the usa for a long time and i dont live in england. apparently from what i can find here there is only legends one and legends 2. when i did a search on the internet i found legends three (apparently as blah blah blah) but here where i live... in france... i can only get either legends one or legends two in the stores... no splits.. serious... and so now i know ursula le guin was part of the first one.

thanks for your patience!!!!

i appreciate your patience and understanding fitz... you know where i am at legends I is exactly what it is... legends I. imagine that... not 3 books. but of course i dont live anymore in the usa or an english speaking country and dont have the means to see whats in the literature world lest i am rich enuf to pay for american vendors i search on french sites.

and when i look up legends I i can order it exactly as that.... ONE book.

however.. i APOLOGIZE for stressing you out and will be very sure to avoid doing so in the future. please feel free to just ignore an IDIOT like me.

duckbutter, I was just having a little bit of fun at your expense. We do these things to all of our new members to get them accustomed to the forums. ;)
