Looking for a book I read while in the US Navy. The people thought they lived on a planet, but found out it was actually a giant ship. Thanks guys.

The book you are looking for is probably in this list Generation Ships (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Generation_ship)
The most well-known such story is Robert Heinlein's 'Orphans of the Sky'.

Thanks, I'll go through each one to see if the planet's name I'm looking for is mentioned.

There's also Non-Stop by Brian Aldiss, which was cleverly title Starship in the U.S., thus giving away the entire point of the book.

This was alien. Nothing to do with Earth, iirc. Nobody knew it was a ship.
Again, iirc, only one or 2 people found out, & I believe it was the end of book, or near the end.
With a planet name like cucko, kooko ?? I was hoping it would be something I could figure out now a days with the net.
Thanks guys.
