Always interested in them http://www.sffworld.com/ubb/smile.gif

One I was thinking of was the Druďd seeress that's in Lion of Ireland. Exotic, wise and charming. Molly from Farseer in a very simple way , I just fell in love with that character. Cymoril from the Elric books, the descriptions of her, what she was like, seemed very enchanting. And there are the sorceresses in various books, like for instance Melisandre the Shadowbinder from ASOIAF. I usually find the mysterious, ethereal women the most enchanting, a bit like Galadriel in the Lord of the Rings.

Anyone have any memories of such characters?

Umm, I would have to pick Kitiara from The Dragonlance saga. I know she's an evil gal, but that seems to make her all the more attractive!

Enchanting ladies... hmmm. I second Mith's choice of Molly. Of course I may be biased since we share the same name and I was delighted to see my name used in a fantasy series! Besides that, she is a strong, intelligent character who is quite easy to like.

Faraday from The Wayfarer Redemption is also a great female character. She starts off lovely and innocent and ends up drastically changed by her experiences (and I've only read the first two in this series!). Her grace and courage throughout her ordeal is quite inspiring.

Mara isn't really mysterious or anything, but i'd say she's enchanting. Gamina was enchanting in James's eyes when they first met.
