hey, as a point of interest to you, i'm starting up an IRC server for SciFiHaven, probably within the next week or so - I'll let you know when it's up - would you be interested in utilizing it for your visitors? Thought ya might be interested...
maybe run a poll for your users or something - but anyway, just cruisin everyone's sites, as is my wont <grin>

Scifi Channel used to run a 2D graphical chat palace (http://www.thepalace.com) called The Mothership. They've taken it down but the regulars opened a new one called The Mothership II. (http://www.tms2.net) You can find out about it at http://www.tms2.net

They're big fans of science fiction and fantasy stories there.
